- The variants in detail:
- The New axle guide variant is a further development with improved sealing function compared to the original. The sealing function of the aluminum base body has been improved by an O-ring, as has the counter-running surface of the radial shaft seal of the gear hub. This is made of hardened and ground steel to prevent the radial shaft seal from running in. This variant also comes with a paper seal for axial sealing of the 10 holes.
- The axle guide variant is theoriginal axle guide from Rohloff including a pressed-on counter-running surface for the radial shaft seal.
- The counter-running surface variant contains a steel ring (1 piece) which is made of hardened and ground steel to prevent the radial shaft seal from running in. This is fully compatible with the original axle guide - but requires a special tool to be pressed on.
